    WORTH CONSUMING!

i was surprised at how good this was. it reminded me of logan’s run without the camp. some of the overtones and themes were a little heavy-handed, and the base story has been told and re-told throughout modern sci-fi, but still this is a good take on it. my favorite scenes are the ones when he’s being tortured.
the ending was a bit cheezy, but i was expecting it.

    WORTH CONSUMING!

i like this movie. i do. but the story was..i dont know whether to call it nuanced or convoluted. it seemed to pick up pace in strange places, the characters didnt seem motivated, it was like this movie didnt quite know what it wanted to be, do. again, let me reiterate i liked it. it had a great feel to it. but certain actions, things that happened..just didnt seem connected to reason. it wasnt cut and dry. which is good i suppose, but makes it very hard to follow and figure out what one is supposed to glean from it.
george clooney looks older than ever too, and the supporting cast was all excellent. i dunno, there just so many loose ends that it feels messy, the story just didnt know where to stop or end. huh. but i liked it nonetheless. one of those movies that make you feel cooler, kinda smarter when youre done watching it.

    NOT WORTH CONSUMING

jesus..that was absolutely awful. where to begin..
umm..fights. lets start there. the first couple were..tolerable. but they never get any better. its just..stupid.
    the sidekick was absolutely unbearable.
    the ending was hideous.
the sound design was awful, all post-production that sounded like it had been done by a blind kid.
basically, all the time and money was spent into costumes and sets. kinda like wes anderson..

i think the reason im hating on it so much is because it had potential, it couldve been really different and cool. but it failed miserably.

this was a nice little book, a quick entertaining read. the ending was not quite what id hoped it to be, but still, a fun little book.

yesyes, incredible performances, and even though you knew the end from the beginning, i still liked the journey. he is presented as very human, not some inspiring beacon of hope. he’s just a guy trying to make it, and yells and his kid and does some bad things and makes bad decisions, such as the initial investment that put them into financial hardship to begin with. at the end, even though i kind of told myself i wasnt going to, i was just there with the guy, crying. not a lot, but there were definitely a few. its just a good story.

    NOT WORTH CONSUMING

this wasnt a very good movie. it was silly. i didnt know anything about it going into it, and read up on it afterwards. seems that a whole shitload of stuff was just plain wrong from the autobiography. i hatehatehate it when people do that. it wasnt terrible, but…jeez. theres a lot better ways to spend 2 hours and some change.

yay! back into playing this, and last night, for the first time, my girlfriend picked up the controls and away we went. it was rather magical.

    WORTH CONSUMING!

i had never seen this movie before. ever. so i didnt have that nostalgia thing goin for me when i saw it. i knew it by reputation though, and it seemed like something id want to see.

well…as someone tagged it, it is craptastic.

a cheap goonies rip-off, with several of the characters not even given the courtesy of an actual name, this movie is proof of the so bad its good edict.

i for one kept hoping fat kid would just die. the little sister was so adorable my throat was hoarse from saying “awwww” so much. ditto for the dog and his owner. the ending was so bad..it was amazing. just that sentence, so bad it was amazing. however, watching it i tried to think of how i would have liked it when i was a kid. i think it would have been pretty dang awesome.
