Why I recommend "Roy Orbison - Black & White Night (DVD & DVD Audio)" — 3 years ago
fantastic!
fantastic!
i really enjoy this show, never-more-so than in the episode after jerry has committed suicide. the guys are discussing this and “lou”, ken shea stands up and says he respects him more than ever. suicide is a very debatable topic. there are those who see it as cowardice and there are those that get it. i applaud him. if you’ve never been there, in that deep dark level, you have no idea how hard life can be.
i first heard of this book when i was browsing my book club purchases. it sounded intriguing and i requested it from my library. i did not know it was a young adult book, nor did i know it was by the author of coraline. i loved this book! it starts off with a family being murdered and the baby escaping into the graveyard. the inhabitants of the graveyard undertake the task of protecting and caring for this boy they name nobody owens. because he’s nobody but himself. the owenses were his adoptive parents. we are brought along bod’s many adventures from ghoul gates, and fading, to befriending a witch. one of my favorite parts of the book was the danse of the macabre where the living and the dead dance the night away only to forget about it in the morning. i highly recommend this book and cannot wait to consume more titles by gaiman.
