A story about "We ♥ Katamari" — 2 years ago

i keep playing the elephant/bird “as large as possible” level, trying to get to 3,000 meters because i heard that when you roll up the king and queen they pop up here and there around the game.

    is that true?

    either way… it’s a goal.

and i’ll never make it to 1 million roses. that’s for damned sure.

    stunning — 2 years ago

    WORTH CONSUMING!

visually and emotionally stunning. this is the most creative and unexpected movie i have ever seen. some may be overwhelmed by the violence, expecting it to be nothing more than a fairy tale, but it is so much more.

Why I want to consume "Dr. Martens 1460" — 2 years ago

i missed the 10 years when they were in style because i thought i was a hippy at the time and also because my mother refused to spend so much money on a shoe (yes, i was young).

i’ve since progressed past that stage and i’m still enchanted by them! they last forever (so i’m told), and have a classic charm that just can’t be matched.

so here i go. i ordered them and they should be shipping soon.

A story about "The Complete Wreck (A Series of Unfortunate Events, Books 1-13)" — 2 years ago

consumed books one and two. on to book three!

i was lucky to get the full box set for christmas, and i’m eating them up like chocolates.

A story about "Vegetarian Lasagna" — 2 years ago

    WORTH CONSUMING!

i made this recipe but with a few changes. i basically eyeballed the amounts, less onion, added garlic, added oregano, less oil, cottage cheese instead of ricotta, etc.

it’s a really easy recipe to play with, super delicious, and near impossible to mess up.

A story about "A Nightmare on Elm Street" — 2 years ago

    WORTH CONSUMING!

so… yeah. i think it’s worth consuming if only because it’s become a bit of a slasher classic.

compared to anything we’re used to seeing now it’s positively cheesy, and possibly frightening only to an 8 year old. and yet it was still completely entertaining to watch.

A story about "I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence" — 2 years ago

    WORTH CONSUMING!

i threw a “meat party” potluck last week.

my vegetarian boyfriend was out on tour with his band, so i figured i’d take the opportunity to satisfy my meaty cravings in one fell swoop with those of my friends who are also not vegetarian (although a few of them came by anyway).

i cooked up amy’s “pot roast for jack black” recipe and it was an enormous hit. it was a huge dish, and i literally had no leftovers after the party was over asside from a few spare carrots and potatoes.

yes, it is an incredibly funny read, and it can come across as just a joke book… but the recipes really are tried and true hits, and her advice on entertaining is also actually quite practical.

    enjoy!
