Llewelyn is young, newly widowed, just out of jail, down on his luck and has decided that if he doesn’t get this job he will throw himself off a roof top.
What a great start! With that you are whisked in the seedy side of London in the late 1800s. Each book explores a different area of the city and this one takes us to the Jewish ghetto. A fun, quick read with marvelous characters.
