Why I want to consume "Luigi's Real Italian Ice" — 2 years ago
Lemon ones tastes great!
They changed the formula to make it softer/smoother recently.

Tastes like a “Dreamsicle” ice cream popsicle that they used to serve in my elementary school cafeteria. Delicious.
I imagine they make it by blending cream soda and orange soda.
The only drawback is that this brand, like most others, makes it with high fructose – not sugar.
First of all, they taste good.
But so does high fructose, sugar water, and lots of other unnatural – and very unhealthy things.
Unlike the typical processed foods on grocer shelves these days, these popsicles from Edy’s are made from natural ingredients.
Not natural as in “look, it is made of atoms, it is completely natural”.
More like it is made out of natural fruit juices.
Here is an official description of the product and here is a very positive review of the product
I had it for lunch today with a couple pieces of Banquet crispy chicken.
Just in case the artificial chicken flavoring left too much to be desired.
But it was really all right, as it turned out.
However, I needed the protein anyway, so it is all good.
It really tastes a whole lot better than their cars.
If you like mint chocolate things, you will probably like this.
Some dessert things do not translate well to the Pop-Tarts format. This does not seem to suffer that problem, though.
Note the “inspired by” in the name.
This is not the deeply drenched in heavy saunce Kung Pao that you are used to getting in restaurants.
You still get the sauce and it still taste good. But you get less of it. You are not making half a meal out of the sauce with the dish.
The chicken is vary tasty and has a texture like it has been steamed, not fried in oil.
The water chestnuts and brocolli in the side dish are amazing. They actually taste like they are fresh. The water chestnuts are actually a little crispy too. Not mushy or anything like you would expect from a frozen meal.
The whole thing was so yummy and healthy tasting I practically found myself shivering with pleasure as I swallowed it down.
Flipping the box over after eating this meal, I was not disappointed. It actually is healthy, according to the ingredients.
It does have some fat but it is just 11 grams total.
The whole meal only has only 300 calories. A single 20 ounce soda has almost that many and zero nutrition. This meal has 32 grams of protein in it. That is half of an adult requirement for the whole day.
Not bad. In fact, pretty good in every way.
I tried this a couple of times and I just could not get into it.
True, I did not try it over ice as one person suggested. But I did drink it cold.
It does not seem to wake me up as much as coffee and it does not seem to taste as good as a soda.
Add into that blase description the fact that it has every unhealthy sweetner discovered in the past few decades, and it is not really anything to crow about.
I hear the french version actually has real sugar in it. Which, we all know is not that good for you. But it tastes better and is healthier for you than high fructose, sucralose, and asptertame.
What exactly is the target demographic for this product?
People with no tastebuds and no health agenda whatsoever?
I can see why they had to change the formula to be able to sell it at all in France.
Using the Parallels Desktop for Mac virtualization software will allow me to run other Intel-CPU based operating systems, like Linux, on my Macintosh.
No one computer OS has a corner on the market for every good piece of software.
I am a software developer, and I find the Macintosh has a great blend of user/hacker/slacker (as in programmer, not reprobate) features.
What it lacks is a few Java IDE features that I would wish to have sometime. Nothing major, but some little things.
Using Parallels, I think I will be able to install the latest version of some Linux distribution and have that at my beck and call when I need it.
Kind of like nitro-charging my Mac with programming tools. And, I will not have to mess with Fink or Darwin Ports, or any of that stuff.
It will be a great way to get my coder-fu on.
