    WORTH CONSUMING!

1 Litre of Tears (1 Rittoru no Namida), 2005, Japan

Ikeuchi Aya is 15 when it is discovered that she has a neurological disease in which a part of her brain will break down and she will slowly lose the ability to walk, to speak, to write. This is her story (based on a true story) of her fight and her courage when classmates mock her for her disability and struggling for the will to carry on. This is a very moving drama and it will really make you think about all those things you take for granted in everyday life.

    WORTH CONSUMING!

A masterpiece! This was far better than I expected, and much better than the first one, which is rare for a sequel. You definitely have to see My Wife is a Gangster in order to get a lot of the jokes and situations in this movie, but there’s a lot more humour in this one than the first. I love how Shin Eun-Gyeong portrayed her character here. After being such a tough woman in the first one, her character gets amnesia and she plays this role very comically.
