On the way back, I got off at South Ealing and walked back up to Ealing Broadway.
After walking through Hounslow I got back on the train at Hounslow East.
Hounslow Central is at Hounslow itself, a town on the way to Heathrow.
Hounslow West is just up from Hatton Cross, a suburban area on the Piccadilly Line.
I visited Elephant and Castle on an impromptu trip to the local Wetherspoon’s on a Friday evening.
Ravenscourt Park is on the District line. I came here on a professional visit to a nearby library.
I went to see a performance of Macbeth at the Lion and Unicorn Theatre, Kentish Town, and decided to go home via the Overground, getting on at Kentish Town West.
I came to Greenwich to go to the theatre, in order to see a production of Alan Bennett’s The History Boys. I liked Greenwich: it had winding streets and nice old buildings.
This is Chalk Farm on the Northern line. I was here to see Twelfth Night at the Roundhouse, performed by the RSC.
I came to Boston Manor to visit the house of the same name and the adjoining park – it was a really relaxing day out.

I got off at St. Paul’s station one day when I was going to the Globe after work. I walked down to the river and crossed the bridge.
Honor Oak Park is a station on the Overground, and I got off here in order to go to the theatre. The Brockley Jack Studio Theatre is inside a pub, and I saw some of Anton Chekhov’s short plays and sketches, which were very funny.
Colindale Station is in north London. I came here with my mam, who wanted to go to the nearby RAF Museum (she really wanted to see the Lancaster bomber).
Clapham Junction is at the end of the Overground line in south London. I came here with some friends to go to the pub.
This is Burnt Oak, on the Northern line. I wasn’t particularly impressed with this area: it was a street full of cheap-looking shops.
Mill Hill East is a tiny station on it’s own little branch of the Northern line. I got the bus here from Edgware, through a leafy part of north London.
This is Edgware, at the top end of the Northern line. I was pleased to discover a TopShop Outlet here.
