How "Flowers in the Attic (Dollanganger)" changed my life

Flowers in the Attic (Dollanganger)

by V.C. Andrews

This is the first Virginia Andrews book I read and during the first couple of chapters I wasn’t too keen on it, but a few chapters later I was hooked and wanted to be reading it constantly until I’d finished. It’s the best book I’ve read for ages!

Since I have read this book, my views on many topics such as incest and sex and love between people with big age differences. It is a very emotive book and at the end of it I desperately wanted to know what happened next so had to buy the 2nd book. I didn’t think the 2nd book was as good as the first, but it was still very good.

I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone whether it seems like your kind of book or not! I will definately read the rest of the series and after this series I intend to start on another of her books.

Why it's taking me forever to finish consuming "Wise Children"

Wise Children

by Angela Carter

Well at first I didn’t like it which meant I was very reluctant to pick it up and start reading, but in English when we were studying it the teacher gave us a family tree and now I quite like it as it’s less confusing when you know who everyone is. Although it still gets a bit confusing sometimes with the 4 sets of twins, incest affairs and just general love affairs. But it’s kewl :) I would recommend it at the moment, but I would also suggest you find out who the characters are before you start reading :P
