A story about "The Artist's Way"

The Artist's Way

by Julia Cameron

I’m on Week 5 with my study group now. It’s been tough getting through these weeks, I have less and less motivation to read the chapters.
I am doing well with the morning pages, though.

A story about the last time I consumed "All Quiet on the Western Front"

All Quiet on the Western Front

I feel rather emotionally battered now. The imagery from the preview for a WWI aviation movie I saw when I went to Superman Returns has been haunting me.
It was an excellent book, and I can see why it’s on all those lists, but wow.
Now I need to get out On the Beach and my apocalyptic depression reading will be complete.

Real black olives - not canned

black olives

I cannot express in words the amazing difference between naturally grown organic black olives and canned black cocktail olives. I worked for a couple of years for an organic foods company and got to sample some of the world’s best naturally ripened Turkish black olives. Heaven!
Most canned olives are actually green olives that have been dyed with ferrous gluconate or similar additives (read the ingredients list on the can!), and they usually taste more of the can and salt than of actual olive.
Learning the difference organic growing and packing made to olives converted me to the real thing. There’s no going back now.
