The people in this book are crazy. I’d love to hear what Hayden has to say about them. If I were to reread, I might sit with abnormal psych book in hand. This story is so unbelievable that I had to believe it.

Tom mentioned me in the acknowledgements, so I think I should read it. This does not mean, however , that I’m going to read Roberto’s 3rd edition of his algorithms book. Two editions is enough for now :).

(completed Feb 28, 2005) I really enjoyed this book. It perfectly fits the description of books I like: character reconciles past and present. I look forward to reading more by Banana later.
First library book!
(completed Mar 2) Very Americans in Europe in the early 20th century. Reading Lolita in Tehran inspired me to read this one, and I’d like to reread what Nafisi had to say about it.
Andrew was reading White Teeth on the bus today and it reminded me I want to read it. I am going to read the one with the light lavender cover (and will check it out from the sf public library for which I have a card!)

As I’ve said before, I really enjoy books that are in depth character studies, and this one deifnitely fits that category. It’s very predicatable, but only because the lives of these people are so generically dysfunctional. Glad I read it.
