Bavarian/German food — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

The food I had in Garmisch-Partenkirchen was among the best I have ever eaten! And in general, the food of Germany. The food I bought from the market, the bread, cheese, yogurt, jam…tasted so much better tah here in America.

I miss Germany!

Why I recommend "The Complete Poems: Anne Sexton" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Anne Sexton was one of the most beautiful women ever to walk the earth and her poems come straight from the heart in such a way as to move one beyond words.

A story about "Christy Report" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

A modern (and very pictoral) history of porn. Call me a pervert, but I found it quite stimulating. I suggest it to anyone with like interests.

What I really appreciated was the pre-1990s porn where people looked natural and women were not plastic creatures with (usually dyed) blonde hair and Brazilian waxes. So refreshing! So much more erotic than this Electric Barbarella nonsense being churned out these days.

(Now, let me get back to my knitting. My Daughters of the American Revolution group will be here shortly, and I want to be able to have this adorable Cabbage Patch Kid ballgown finished…)

Why I recommend "Thanksgiving Day" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I think it’s really cool that some proceeds from the album went to Hurricane Katrina relief.

Why I like people who have consumed "Kinked" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Anyone who likes Dave Davies is alright with me.

Unless you’re a psychopath or an insurance salesman.

Haunted Britain — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This is one of the best books on the subject. Hard-to-find nowadays, true, but well worth it if you can. I’d love to see all the places listred in here.

This is a tour guide of strange and haunted places in England, Wales and Scotland. There are hundreds of pictures, some very eerie ones in colour as well.

So many good flavours. — 3 years ago

This is NOT the Ministry most people know... — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I like this album, because I don’t compare it to their newer stuff. It reminds me of old Depeche Mode, but a little darker. Alain Jourgensen has famously called this record “an abortion of an album,” but well, whatever.

I guess it does kind of suck.

A review of "Percy the Park Keeper" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

“Percy is a gentle, kindly sort of chap who is more than happy with his life in the park, totally un-hindered by the stresses and strains of modern life. He is a father figure to all the animals who live in the park. It is always Percy they turn to in times of need – or just to have some fun and games in the park, and enjoying the changing seasons and all that they have to offer. Based on the much-loved books by Nick Butterworth, these enchanting tales of Percy and his friends appeal to children everywhere.”—http://www.abc.net.au/abckids/shows/prog245.htm

Pipkins — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Pipkins is a great show for children, because it’s not loud, fast-paced or ridiculous. It’s good, thoughtful and fun. Hartley Hare, a very camp little bunny, and his ragtag band of friends and neighbors are always getting into delightful problems which get sorted by the end of the show. It’s classic.
