Meatless Rueben sandwich — 3 years ago
What would a Reuben sandwich be without meat?
Pretty darn good.
What would it be without the sauerkraut?
I don’t want to think about it.

It’s not a dream. Tofu is real!
I could sing odes to bean curd…but all I’m gonna say is I can’t live without it. I had some Burmese curried tofu once that was to die for. I’m searching for a recipe…
Oh the heavy backbeat of the twin tribal drums! The piping horns! The dazzle and swash of the highwayman/pirate. It must be Adam Ant! It must be the 80s.
This is total feel good music. One would think I was a total hedonist dancing to the likes of this.
Oh, the swagger, the bravado. There are some very addictive tunes on here!
And the boys are so cute and dress so well!
My consumption of this was not by choice. My ex listened to it a lot, and those two songs were always on the radio…
I take issue with this being called goth. It isn’t. You want real goth? Try Rosetta Stone, Executive Slacks, Switchblade Symphony, anything but this. This is melodramatic, whiny pap.
There is some merit here. It’s not as if the woman can’t sing. She can. She oversings. She sounds as if she is pleading with the listener. And that rapper guy on that track…annoying. Very Linkin Park-ish…and I loathe Linkin Park.
This, in my mind, is Def Leppard at their best.
Why do I like people who have consumed this? Because a lot of them are probably from Sheffield…and I love Sheffielders!!
The Arctic Monkeys are one of the great bands today which are helping to save pop/rock music. This album has really blown me away. True, some of the lyrics are rather silly, but these guys are young, so I give them a break on that account. I find them really cute, and I don’t normally care for music to come from people younger than me (kids these days! and all that line of thought).
There is a lot of energy here, and youthful observations on life. Very refreshing and I hope these guys go far in their careers as musicians. The world needs the Arctic Monkeys.
If you’ve ever wanted to delve into the deeper meaning of the tarot, this is a great place to start. This book offered me insights I had not had before.
I was hoping for a little more enlightenment. I love the fact that the text is in Sanskrit, then with a literal translation and finally it breaks it down for those of us whose mother tongue is not that of the Vedas.
Unfortunately, there was not much to me in the way of depth here. Did I just miss the point?
There is much more to Chinese astrology than what is covered in this book, but it’s a nice presentation with lovely pictures and in my opinion a good introduction: but not the last word. The Complete Guide To Chinese Astrology: The Most Comprehensive Study of the Subject Ever Published in the English Language by Derek Walters (same author) is much more, er, complete.
