Harrowing and Illuminating (rated 5 stars)

Children Underground

by Edet Belzberg

Some scenes in this documentary are undoubtedly amongst the most harrowing images that have come along in a documentary film in the past few years. This film left me somewhat shell-shocked, but, I think (hope), a better person. An incredibly insightful and powerful film, I recommend this to anyone that is interested in seeing what goes on in some of the less privileged corners of our earth. Bravo to the filmmakers who fought to tell these children’s stories!

A story about "Devil's Playground"

Devil's Playground

by Lucy Walker

This movie really opened my eyes. I found it amazingly powerful, insightful and succinct. If you like documentaries, I think you’ll like this. I only wished I had seen it with other people so that I could discuss it afterwards, because it really got my mind going.
