i have finished the first 3 books, but i’m going to have to give this a break for now and come back to it. i have too many half-read books to start another one of these. i will come back to it as soon as i can, though!

my boyfriend and i read this book aloud to each other. it is absolutely my favorite book in the world. we saw the movie when it first hit theaters. don’t be fooled. the movie, although i did think it was a good horror movie, is loosely based on parts of the first chapter and doesn’t even touch the complexity of this story. get ready for insomnia.

i remember this book from when i was in elementary school, and recently found it in a box in the garage. it is still just as enchanting as ever. learn how to care for your pet monster, be it dracula, wolfman, or the mummy. the perfect choice for a child who loves the supernatural, but doesn’t like being scared.
