I checked it out mainly for the photography, although I am interested in the career of Mayor Washington. I ended up getting very caught up in the next, as well as (as I knew I would) the photography. I would recommend this to anyone with even a passing interest in Mayor Washington or the city of Chicago. This was an excellent read, and the pictures will bring you back to the Chicago of the 80’s and the excitment and tension surrounding Mayor Washington’s tenure.
