What an awesome series! I loved every bit of it; I REALLY hope the manga continues the story with the ‘spiders’. I always root for the ‘bad’ guys. Hisoka is definitely my favourite character of the series…it absolutely killed me to see him play ‘dodge ball’. heh.

...is there more than just 92 episodes?...I need more.

I ordered something that sent me to the ER (nearly killed me)—worst 2 days of my life. I did used to like some of their coffees; but I can ‘LIVE’ without them…

Ahhhh… Very nice. I’ve been working on reading some interesting American Comics. I’ve got about 60 other books checked-out from the library right now, hopefully I’ll be getting through some of them in the next month.

I don’t think I’m enough of a ‘Bitch’ to understand this comic. It may be drawn by ‘a star in the indie comix world’; but for my repertoire of reading it is not something I’m proud of. Why does ‘feminism’ create women who are crass, earthy and down-right trashy… Yeah, I didn’t like it—what was I thinking picking this up??

The story is ok… very Nancy Drew (I used to read these books 15-20 years ago). I wasn’t dissappointed in that department. However, the art in it is so bad (and no its not just the style) that it completely detracts from the story. Sequential story telling should be 90% about the artwork. The art needs to set the pace, provide the mood, and create suspense…and it hasn’t done any of this here…at all.

Its too bad, these books had potential.

This tries very hard to be ‘hard-core’... It has an intriguing story. Lets hope it succeeds in the next volume.

I’m not one to follow the crowd; and since this is being marketed as a ‘popular best-seller’...I didn’t want to read it.

The art on the cover is kinda lame…so I didn’t want to read it.

The title is a complete turn-off…so I definitely didn’t want to read it.

My local library got a copy of it; and my ‘rule’ is: If the library buys a manga, I have to read it. I didn’t want to read it, but I did.

It made me smile, it made me cry…and now…I have to buy it. I guess you can’t judge a book by the cover; even when its a total turn-off… dernit!

Not something I’d normally buy; but I got it for free so, of course I’ll try it. The artwork is very beautiful and moody. There is no spoken dialogue; but the story speaks loud and clear. I found the story to be rather quirky - its hard to explain - just read it for yourself & you’ll understand. Each short story ending was totally different and completely unexpected! Most enjoyable!

I highly recommend this book!

sigh I finally started getting my consumption up again. I was so busy at the end of last month, I could barely keep up (I almost forgot about this website). I’m away from work now (as a result of surgery last week) and am finally able to read my manga. Actually, that’s one of the few things I can actually do. I’ve been reading through a few series that I’ve read before like doubt and tramps like us—which is always enjoyable. Its been so long since I’ve read them, I’d completely forgotten how they ended.

I’ve also been able to watch 2 full anime series this month. Yatta! Hoop days is pretty fun-I especially like the music. Actually, it was pretty painful; because it would cause me to laugh and aggravate my stitches. Still lots of fun. I’m not sure about the CG in it tho-I think it was too early in the development stage.

Pretear was ok—it was very cute. I’m not normally a ‘cute’ anime fan; but I was definitely in the mood for it. I’m looking forward to more anime conventions this summer so that I can complete some of my anime box sets.
