I saw Newton last week supporting Nizlopi in Camden. Nizlopi have a habbit of introducing me to much-to-be listened to artists through their support, including Gary Dunne and Sandi Thom, and now Newton Faulker.

Newton has a fantastic voice and plays some incredible air-tap guitar, but sings over the top which is something I’ve not seen many people with his guitar skills do.

Definitely worth picking up the EP, if for no other reason than the line in Full Fat which informs us that God is in fact “a small sausage roll”.

My iPod is awaiting his forthcoming album with barely-contained excitement!
