Took me a while to get into, but half-way in and i got became much more absorbed… in the end i enjoyed it a lot! A rather different sort of book, not as good as the ‘Girl with the Pearl Earring’ in my opinion but still full of intriguing characters and an interesting intelligent plot.

It’s hilarious – had me laughing out loud! And really quite daring i feel… i just couldn’t stop reading this the characters were so funny, especially Harris the Corgi. I just love the original idea: the Royal Family being moved to a terrible council estate. The pefect start for all sorts of things going wrong, in Sue Townsend-style.
