Liam Neeson should get a BMF wallet for this one. Liam plays a former spook in this one and he goes on the warpath after his daughter is abducted. All he does is kick ass and take names. Pierre Morel’s direction was well paced. Taken was written by Luc Besson.

Famke, please stop doing whatever it is you are doing to your eyebrows. It looks like you have “Star Trek Eyebrow” but on both sides at the same time.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop [Theatrical Release]

This one is a bit cheesy but still worth consuming. Paul Bart: Mall Cop takes a poke at the microcosm of mall life and all that entails.

This movie feels like that they couldn’t make up their minds whether they were going for a PG-13 or an R rating, then they decided to go G rated and it comes off a bit cheesy and campy. Maybe I am a bit jaded but this movie comes off like a G Rated Disney romp and NOT a true comedy with Adam Sandler as a Producer. No tits, bush, cursing or gun play. There were a few minor explostions but don’t worry Kevin James isn’t going to dethrone The Rock, Clive Owen or Bruce Willis as an acion hero.

Adam Sandler produced this however he didn’t put his pal, Rob Schneider, with his catch phrase, “You can do it.” But maybe he should have. They went camp and he should have called Rob up and stuck him in as a minor side kick. Paul Bart is cheesy but still funny. But Sandler, give me a bit more cowbell next time. OK?

Transporter 3 [Theatrical Release]

What a let down. Only for a real fan of the series, the first two were much better.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Jason Statham, he is A-OK. But he didn’t write the script to Transporter 3. There are three fight scenes and the plot is pretty much the run of the Mill for Transporter 3, except this time the bad guy puts a bomb in the mix and wires it so he can’t go beyond 75 feet from his car (why are they using feet in Europe anyways?).

Luc Besson wrote Transporter 3 kind of interesting that this is the second movie for him to put an orange haired eurotrash girl in the mix, like he did in The Fifth Element.

Oliver Stone takes on W. George W. Bush. He pulls a few punches in this doc-drama about W’s life and rise to power. Namely I wanted to see things about his involvement in Skull and Bones during his Yale years. Both his father, George H. W. Bush and Grandfather, Prescott Bush, were members of Skull and Bones before during their Yale years as well. W only goes into his alcohol abuse and doesn’t touch any of his other drug problems. I also thought it could have used a few more Bushisms. W does go into some of his failures, but it doesn’t cover the Bush family ties to Oil and the Arabs. Olive Stone let me down on the sinister side of the Bushes I wanted to see.

George W. Bush starts off as a drunken college frat boy, his many failures (but not all of them), and helping his father win his run for the White House. He later goes on to run for Governor of Texas.

George W. Bush is jealous of his younger brother Jeb. It turns out he gets his bad temper from his innocent looking mother Barbara Bush, while Jeb Bush takes more after his father. GW has an acceptance issue with his distant father.

W shows George W Bush for the drunken idiot buffoon that he is. W has some funny true to history shots in it. I like the one that had of Karl Rove playing with his Blackberry. Product placements for Dr Pepper and Aquafina are in W.

There are a few low points in the movie, it showed W visiting the injured troops. W shows the low point of George W. Bush’s father losing his bid for reelection despite the fact that Desert Storm was a very quick and easy success. Olive Stone’s W does show the mistake that George H. W. Bush made, not going all the way to Baghdad and get Saddam the first go around. The saddest part is that George H. W. Bush is more upset about his son ruining the Bush family name than he is about W ruining the country.

The Thermaltake TMGi1 is an Intel Socket 775 CPU heatsink and cooling fan. The Thermaltake TMGi1 is very quiet but a whole lot bigger than the stock cooling fan that came with your intel 775 chip. If your computer case has one of those intake cooling pipes on the side panel over your CPU, you will need to remove that once you install the TMGi1 on your CPU. It uses the same clip ons that the stock 775 fan from intel uses and they come set in the locked position, all you have to do is tap them in. They also have compound on the bottom of the Heatsink. You do have to remove the fan to install it (You will also have to remove the fan if you want to take the heatsink off). Use a flathead screwdriver to gently remove the fan from the Thermaltake TMGi1. Don’t squeeze it around the ring protection the fan.

This is the quietest CPU fan I have ever owned. Definitely worth consuming.

In Flash of Genius, Greg Kinnear plays the role of Dr Robert Kearns, an inventor that made a product we all take for granted today. An intermittent windshield wiper.

Kearns held five patents on his invention and tried to market his invention to Ford, but being all about corporate evil, Ford decided to steal his idea.

He ends up fighting a legal battle his whole life to get justice in true David vs Goliath fashion. It costs him a bit of his sanity, his wife and he loses his family.

Disaster Movie [Theatrical Release]

Disaster Movie sucked balls! It lacked any wit or true satire in the whole movie. Disaster Movie needed more of Kim Kardasian’s ass, maybe something to make it R-Rated, and maybe Carmen Electra naked.

Disaster Movie did have some funny male nudity and a few funny scenes but they were few and far between. It mocks the following movies and stars; Iron Man, The Hulk, The Dark Knight, Prince Caspian, Coverfield, Enchanted, Juno, Indiana Jones, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Micheal Jackson, Justine Timberlake, and Jessica Simpson. This is part of the problem they should have focused on one thing and made it funny instead of trying to make fun of 20 things. Made by the same guys that made Meet the Spartans, which also sucked.

I wish that “Rock Me Sexy Jesus” was a bit more offensive but it really wasn’t. They hint at lots of offensive things in the movie but you never get to see them. Steve Coogan does bare his ass in a semi-funny male nudity scene.

Ben Stiller Stars, co-writes and directs this comedy romp. I am a big fan of the writer as director thing. I think the film ends out turning out a lot better this way. The Cast is rounded out with Robert Downey Jr. as Kirk Lazarus, Jack Black as Jeff Portnoy, Jay Baruchel as Kevin Sandusky and Brandon T. Jackson as “Alpa Chino”. Tom Cruise has a bit part as a douche bag movie exec and Mathew McConaughey keeps his shirt on for his role as Stiller’s Tivo obsessed Agent.

The fake movie trailers at the beginning of the movie are a riot. Especially the Toby Mcguire one. Normally I think Jack Black and Ben Stiller both need punches in the cock. But Stiller was as stupid as he was in Zoolander and Black wasn’t so annoying this time around. I think Robert Downey Jr. steals this movie, “I’m the Dude, Playing the Dude, disguised as another Dude.” Love it! He plays roles and voices seamlessly.

Tropic Thunder – Worth Consuming. Comedy of the year 2008. Don’t miss this one.

Have you seen any of Michael Myers other work? Just because he did Shrek doesn’t mean he is all Disney. Dick and Fart jokes abound in this one. Don’t bring the kids to The Love Guru if you get bent about sex or cock jokes. The Love Guru should have gone for an R Rating, but I guess they had to get the teeny boppers in the seats.

Justin as Great in his role of Jacques “Le Coq” Grande, The Love Guru would have been a bit better if it had more JT.

I gave this one a chance and was let down, almost as bad as Unbreakable (the only movie staring both Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson that sucks), but not quite.

I was thinking with an R Rating that there would be a least a boobie in it. Just one boobie. But The Happening seemed like a G rated nature hike.

It could have used more rioting and craziness. It was pretty bland. M. Night Shyamalan uses the same predictable twists and its getting to be very boring.

He should have rickrolled everyone at the end. In the packed house I saw The Happening at, everyone booed at the ending. The Happening – Not Worth Consuming.

Iron Man - Worth Consuming

Iron Man [2008]

This is the strongest movie from the Marvel Comic Universe to date and if you compare this to both Spider-Man and X-Men this is a far stronger start from the get go. It meshes his origin from Tales of Suspense #39 and the later story lines in the Iron Man Comic as well as Stark’s character flaws of womanizing and alcoholism. Both pretty heady topics for a comic book for kids. Jon Favreau does a great job of directing this but he had help from a great script and super Special effects from Industrial Light & Magic (ILM).

The Cast is all top notch. Robert Downey Jr owns his role of Tony Stark and plays him to the hilt. Jeff Bridges makes a surprisingly good bad guy. Terrence Dashon Howard and Gwyneth Paltrow do great in their supporting roles. ILM co-stars as Iron Man and he looked fairly real for a CGI Character

Watch it till the very end, there is an extra scene with Samuel L Jackson after the credits roll.

STATION. Worth consuming! This is the best Action movie of 2008 so far hands down! Let’s see if Batman can give it a run for its money….

This time around the material is a bit headier touching on issues beyond just racism and going on to Terrorism, Racial Profiling, Torture, The War on Terror and True Love. Torture is wrong but joking about the cock meat sandwich thing was pretty funny.

Meet the Spartans

I don’t think I will see a movie this crappy in a very long time. Jason Friedberg & Aaron Seltzer lowered the bar to a new nadir when they made this one.

Granted there are some funny parts in here, there just aren’t enough of them and they are spaced far apart. They used Meet The Spartans as the title but they didn’t do a “Meet The Fockers” tie in at all. It also lacks in, any kind of wit, talent and the special effects department. The only really good thing going on in Meet The Spartans is Carmen Electra.

I don’t know how they got Kevin Sorbo in this flaming POS, he is a legit TV and Movie action star. He needs a new agent and less man on man full on mouth kissing.
