A story about "Skinny Legs and All" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

It took me a very long time to complete this book… it’s very strange! The sub-plot involves three characters that are inanimate objects (a can of beans, a dirty sock and a dessert spoon). That was hard for me to wrap my head around.

I also lost the book once (I left it in the drawer of a seedy motel in New Orleans when I visited there on Spring Break in 2001). But when I finally completed it, I read a few more of Tom Robbins’ books. Good stuff.

How "From the Corner of His Eye" changed my life — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Three words: “This momentous day!”

It’s heavy and intricate and beautiful. I have read it several times just to remind myself of the fact that events and people are interconnected and often lead up to profound moments that shape who we will become…

Why I want to consume "Diet Coke" — 2 years ago

It’s got caffeine and it doesn’t have sugar. It’s got flavor, but not too much (i.e. diet cherry vanilla Dr. Pepper). I’m hopelessly addicted!

Why I recommend "Cold Mountain (Two-Disc Collector's Edition)" — 2 years ago

1 – the story:

It’s a sad and beautiful story that engages the watcher from the first frame to the last.

2 – the soundtrack:

I love the music of this movie almost as much as I love the movie.

3 – Rene Zellweger:

Her rendition of Ruby Thewes is flawless. It adds comic relief in all the right places and even bothers to be profound once or twice.
