Lots of provocative good ideas in here. Not much detail, not comprehensive, but a fast interesting wide-ranging scan of more than just architectural design responses to crises.

Helpful collection about how culture works and is considered in development work. I put this on the interlibrary loan list via my school library for future referencing.

I love how Vaidhyanathan thinks and writes. As a culture lover, sharer and consumer, as well as a scholar of how ideas flow, encounter friction, or are constrained – he’s got the historical, social, political and economic analyses all firing at once. I’m buying this one too.

I had to return this to the library before I got to it. I think it has some value as a kind of map of principles and projects. Will keep it on the reference list for class.

I’m so engaged by this book, that I’m returning it to the library and purchasing it on amazon.
