Why I recommend "Donnie Darko" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

As every movie with Jake – MARVELLOUS!
Donnie persuaded me that madness is more sane than sanity…
I also liked the idea of showing people’s life paths, including the paths of their desires. It’s good to be conscious of them.
And besides, ‘why are you wearing this stupid man suit?’

A story about "October Sky" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Inspiring movie. Someone commented on this movie: “Sometimes one dream is enough to light up the whole sky.” And it’s so true. Especially, when this dream is reflected in the blue eyes of Jake Gyllenhaal…
And I love this moment when he says: ” I’m never going down there again. I wanna go into space.”

and ”no more rockets” reminds me of brokeback mountain’s: ”no more beans” :P

WORTH CONSUMING!

I love the way the guitar is used. It’s so tender and meaningful. And the song “He was a friend of mine” is absolutely touching! Love the music, love the movie, love Gyllenhaal and Ledger :P

How "The Day After Tomorrow (Widescreen Edition)" changed my life — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

At least I can understand now those who think books are good only for making a fire.
And it made me more aware of the harm we are doing to the Earth. And the ‘possible’ consequences of it. It made me realize ‘possible’ does not mean ‘unreal’. It’s our decision what’s the future of our planet…

A story about "The Da Vinci Code" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Well, it was difficult to stop reading, chapter after chapter you wanted to know more and more.
I got to know about a few interesting things, e.g. derivation of the superstition about Friday the 13th.
Although the idea that Mary Magdalene was Jesus’ wife does not appeal to me, I like that the book makes reader realize the way various people in history ignored and underestimated women.

this movie makes u think.
it treats the topic in a very sensitive, not segregating and not judging anybody way.
i like the way it shows traditional marriage-based relationships in comparison to the ‘new’ ones and the way movie makes u think what love in this context really is…
And the sheep – look at the pictures to the poems of William Blake :
