I read this story back in the 90s along with the others in the story about a million times. This is one of the only books my father has ever read in his entire life so I had to read it! The writing style is so fluid and funny! I have lost so many copies of this book to people who borrow and never return! The movie was good, but you can’t get the feel of just how well this book was written by watching the movie. YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK. And The Restaurant at the End of the Universe. And So Long and Thanks for All the Fish!

I read this book numerous times when I was younger. Much younger. Like, 14. It was my favorite book then. There was a movie out about it. I rented it and watched maybe 15-20 minutes of it and shut it off. It was horrible!

If you’ve seen the movie, this is SOOO much better! If you haven’t seen the movie, then don’t. They butchered it and completely changed the ending! The book was worth reading though.

Really really great book! Written by Stephen King before he became Stephen King. Not at all like his other books, this one I think is one of his best! And I am not the biggest Stephen King fan. He’s early work is definitely better than his present work, I think he ran out of ideas years ago!
