Enjoyed reading this book. Bought it to find out more about what goes behind the creation of a comic book, and ended up learning a lot about art in general.

Enjoyed this R.K. Narayan book too! All his little observations on South Indian life, and his characters. The story is not exactly funny as such, but the narrative is light and enjoyable.

I like R.K. Narayan, his language, his subtle observations of South Indian life, and his characters. Often his stories are not really merry in throughout, but the narrative is very enjoyable.

Though it was quite gripping, and I liked about the first 100 pages and the animal tales and theories, and philosophy expressed in the beginning of the book; I didn’t quite like the story or “the plot” so much.
