Once, I had this dream. I dreamt that someone had bought this cd and was so ashamed of having wasted their money on it that they gave it a five star review. Then, the Toronto Star ran a front page article about it, criticizing the person and offering their own two star review.

The funny thing is that it had actually been several days since I’d listened to this when I had the dream.

Well, the Leinil Yu art is extremely pretty, if he does occasionally miss out on giving a few storytelling cues that would help some muddled passages, but as the story progresses, the problems with the story become increasingly evident.

My main gripe is that for what is a strongly politically-based story, it never seems like the opposing political factions are adequately explained or portrayed, leaving me kind of ambivalent about their battle. I don’t have the information to care, and it’s not very compelling.

There are certainly enough interesting pieces in evidence to indicate something great, or at least good, could have been made out of these ideas, but it’s not this.
