A review of "The Moving Finger (Miss Marple Mysteries)" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

The Miss Marple mysteries tend to have more romance than the ones featuring Hercule Poirot. Jerry Burton is one of my favorite Agatha Christie narrators. I wish she’d employed his services more. The only thing missing in this cosy, romantic mystery is a good game of tennis!

Why I gave up consuming "Esopus 13" — 3 years ago

I purchased this magazine for the compilation CD. I love the CD! The magazine is pretty dense.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Romances by Nina Bangs are always interesting. If you’re willing to suspend reality, these books are sure to entertain.

A review of "Psychology, 2nd Edition" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This may be the first textbook I’ve read cover to cover.

A review of "The Gift" — 3 years ago

Best quote: “The flame in his loins burned hotter than Pearl’s blue-ribbon barbecue sauce.”

A review of "3 (Limited Edition) (Incl. 3 bonus tracks)" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

3 is a return to the formula that brought Nouvelle Vague international attention on their first eponymous album. There are many excellent covers of new wave classics. This time Nouvelle Vague adds a little bit of country to the mix, which works amazingly well with the bossa nova. I was impressed with their versions of “Heaven” (Psychedelic Furs) and “Say Hello Wave Goodbye” (Soft Cell).

A review of "Daptone Gold" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

My headphones were only working in my right ear for most of the album. I would highly recommend listening to this compilation in stereo.

A review of "The Hunt" — 3 years ago

Imagine if Star Gate crossbred with a Prince song circa Diamonds & Pearls? The Hunt is that novel.

A review of "Why You Runnin' [Vinyl]" — 3 years ago

A review of "1066: The Year of the Conquest" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

A really excellent historical account of 1066 and the Norman Conquest of England. No prior knowledge of England’s history is necessary to enjoy this book. The writer creates vivid portraits of all the major historical players. My favorite was the Norse King Harald Hardrada. He was wicked awesome!
