I do my best to ignore the fact that Beck’s a Scientologist. His music is just too awesome! Modern Guilt is like all Beck albums – the best!

I missed seeing the Inspector Morse series, but I enjoyed the grumbling Inspector Lewis. More than anything, I’m intrigued by his assistant, the mysterious Sergent Hathaway (AKA Boy Bloody Wonder). Inspector Lewis is no Columbo, but I still can’t wait for season 2.
The Perfect Wife is a hot romance but there are too many couples falling in love. It’s distracting.
I want to thank Blue Note for releasing this compilation. It grooves, it shakes, it rocks, and (most of all) it’s funky! Droppin’ Science assembles several cuts familiar to many folks as samples in some of hip hop’s earliest releases. The album credits include original release information and the songs and artists that used it as a sample. Also liner notes from Ahmir ?uestlove Thompson.

I’d seen Marnie before as a teenager, but I much preferred it now that I’m closer to 30. It’s not a flashy Hitchcock film, but Sean Connery and Tippi Hedren turn out fantastic performances.
Such a disappointment! Based on my experiences reading romances, the novels set in Indiana suck! I don’t care if this one took place in South Bend… Blame It On Paris is what Romantic Times calls a mild romance. That translates into no description of sex period. Who wants to waste their time reading prudish smut? Not me.
I sure picked a winner for my first bluegrass CD!
Setting the play in feudal Japan worked surprisingly well with this Shakespeare adaptation. Kenneth Brannagh manages to maintain the essence of the story but make it fresh to modern audiences. Bryce Dallas Howard does a commendable job bringing Rosalind/Ganymede to life. But don’t take my opinion too seriously. I was practically delirious with dehydration when I watched the film!
