Surprisingly good for a bargain bin book – well illustrated, with pictures of the finished dishes as well as pictures of the intermediate steps, which is good for people who bungle things a lot like me. 160 recipes in total, I’ll try at least 40 before marking this done.
Eight down so far:
- Asparagus Soup (easy, pretty yummy food processor fun)
- Asparagus with Eggs (kind of a strange but somehow tasty combo)
- Tomato, Scallion, and Cilantro Salad (good to eat with spicy food)
- Sauteed Potatoes (no, I couldn’t sautee potatoes right before this)
- Straw Potato Cake (good, unless you accidentally drop it on the floor)
- Garlic Mashed Potatoes (probably the best recipe for this that I’ve ever found)
- Bok Choy with Soy Sauce (you don’t really need a recipe for this.. hrmph)
- Corn Cakes (these are good in theory but I can’t get the consistency right)
