A story about "Words that Work: It's Not What You Say, It's What People Hear" — 3 years ago
It’s interesting to see what kind of thinking drives the current political narrative.
I am unfortunately in no doubt of the effect of Frank Luntz’ methods, but I am sorry that they have found their way into politics.
It’s doing for politics what McDonald’s does for food.
It’s manipulative and is tinged with sleaze, however much he sounds like the deeply misunderstood craftsman who just wants to give everyone the tools to best make their case understood.
Nevertheless, I’d recommend reading this book. It’s interesting, if a little longwinded and “what? me? manipulative?”-ish.
