A review of "Angel of Vengeance: The Girl Who Shot the Governor of St. Petersburg and Sparked the Age of Assassination" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

If you’re a history major, interested in Russian Studies, Women’s Studies, or just interested in knowing more about the radical scene in 19th century Russia, this book is essential. It’s a great starting point for learning the reasons behind the radical movement, terrorism, and the Russian revolution. Siljak is a great writer, and the book reads like a novel. Highly recommended.

Not a bad read! — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I read this for a history class and was pleasantly surprised to find it entirely readable, comprehensive and smooth. An impressive amount of information has been packed into a few hundred pages. A must read for anyone wanting to know more about the 18th century.

A story about "A History of Russia: Combined Volume" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This was my text book for two Russian History classes, and I read it from cover to cover, even though all of it wasn’t assigned. It was informative, well-written, and absolutely fascinating. If you want to know about the history of Russia from the Vikings on, this is a good place to start.

Why I recommend "The Room" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This movie is the best and worst thing ever. Its quotability alone makes it invaluable.

Why I recommend "Ambient 1: Music for Airports" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

There is nothing more perfect to spend a quiet afternoon reading to.

Why I recommend "Greek Society" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

It’s easy to roll your eyes at assigned books in school, but this one was really worth reading. Not only was it un-intimidating and well-written (the author is hilarious but not obnoxious or obvious), but it also made me feel a great respect for the resilience and accomplishments of the Greek people.

Pick it up even if you’re not a History major! You’ll enjoy it.

A story about "Thriller" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This is the best pop album of the 80s, hands down, no contest.

How "The Awakening" changed my life — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This book finally made me take a hard look at whether or not I am the typical woman who wants children.

It turns out I’m not.
