A story about "The Magic Circle" — 3 years ago
so different from other retellings, this one really makes you wonder about traditional fairy tale villians and what they might have gone through to become what they are.

i read it so that i could see the movie with my sister. it was creative, but way to christian for me.
sequel to faery wars. i really hope this ends up being a trilogy because homeboy has some loose ends to tie up. i’m sure it will, trilogies are very popular in the fantasy genre.
a great way to end a great trilogy!
i couldn’t wait for this book to come out and when it finally did i was not dissapointed. the best weetzie bat book since the original, maybe even better than the original. i loved it.
the second in the three sister’s island trilogy, not my fav of three, but good none the less. each book tells the story of one of the sisters, and i just like the other two sister’s better. i couldn’t really identify with this one as much, she was very tom-boyish and stubborn, and i’m, well, not.
my cousin told me to read this without reading any summeries or knowing wat it was about at all, and i think that made so much more interesting. coming to the realization of what the story actually is. even if you did know what it was about before reading it, you’d still love it because it’s amazingly good. it was the first Donna jo napoli book i’ve read and since then have read two more and am planning on reading more.
my first romance novel! it was recommended to me by my aunt who said that if i liked practical magic (one of my fav. movies) then i would like this trilogy. she was right.
as the second book of a trilogy you’d think it would be more of a transition novel, but it’s not. it’s a book unto itself with it’s own story characters etc.
oh i’ve spent hours with my sisters/cousins/friends/etc coming up with theories about the goings on in this book and what might go on in the next… so much fun!
