Another essential look at race as a social contruct in America.
I skipped parts of this book because it got too boring.
Sadly, it isn’t as good as Little Women, but-thankfully!-it’s not as bad as Jo’s Boys.
A classic that I loved as a pre-teen.
I absolutely hate this book. The plot is so predictable and boring. I do not understand how this one could be a classic.
I simply got bored with this one. Eventually, I will finish it.

A gritty look at war in hostile land.
I admit it: the last couple of chapters had me crying like a baby. This is such a touching and moving (obviously) novel.
