Finished Gulliver’s Travels, though I can’t say as I’m a big fan.
Neil Gaiman is amazing. This collection of short stories is beautifully crafted, incredibly disturbing, and wonderfully told in Gaiman’s unique voice.
Kim gave this to me to read while I was sick. Not amazing, but definitely amusing.
Pratchett is good people. Not my favorite book in this story arc, but entertaining and interesting, as always.
“All of Western Literature builds on the Illiad. If you haven’t read it, don’t come to class next week. Stay home and read it.” —Professor Paul Dolan
I finally finished it, and I agree.
I read this for the class I TA, but I absolutely loved it. This book is very intense, powerful, and gripping. If it weren’t for life intruding, I would have read it in one sitting.
I wanted to stay up all night reading this. Life interfered, but I really wanted to. Really really good, if you don’t mind the short sentences. ;-)
