I love you HP books

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Book 6)

by J.K. Rowling

This book has the ability to suck me in, gargle me around, and spit me out in the depths of depression. It takes a second to get draw in but before long, you’re along for the intense ride that Dumbledore and Harry embark upon. Re-reading this for the third time, I had forgotten how sad and crazy it gets towards the end. But it just makes you hungry for the last book!

I also love how the language and behaviors of Harry & Company have also grown through the years. JK Rowling has had this uncanny ability to really understand that these characters are growing and changing throughout the years. Amazingly creative; it’s a difficult series to match in continuity and interest.

Why I recommend "Syriana (Widescreen Edition)"

Syriana (Widescreen Edition)

by Stephen Gaghan

It’s an important subject matter that needs to be discussed in mainstream media. For people who couldn’t follow it, did you try watching it again? I’ve heard from many people who watched it that they didn’t “get it” until the second or third viewing. It’s well worth it and should get you thinking. If it doesn’t… well, I feel sorry for you (and me and this country).

Never Let me go? (rated 3 stars)

Never Let Me Go

by Kazuo Ishiguro

I had high hopes for this book but it ended up disappointing me. Although it was well written, the plot was somewhat all over the place and Ishiguro didn’t seem to have a common thread tying it back together. I felt he could’ve gone into depth about more of the storyline but some part of it always felt somewhat surface. The idea is original but, like i said earlier, it could’ve gone more into depth.
