This is a film about a group of men from LA who are going to attend the Million Man March in Washington DC. It is fun to watch how they all get along (or don’t) over the course of a three day bus ride across the country. The son/father team hand cuffed together, a gay couple, a married guy, a know it all, the pastor who put the group together – all play great roles.

I never get to see the short films that are presented at the Academy Awards. These up for awards in 2005 are from five different countries, and several are very thought provoking.

Jodi Piccoult is one of my favorite authors, and I have read just about everything she has written. She writes about current and past issues that many people don’t want to talk about, and weaves a story that many times has left me breathless.
