My all consuming summary of March, 2007 — 2 years ago

March was pretty good. Marie Antoinette was really good, imo. Visually stunning, awesome music… I have to buy the dvd now. I also watched Blades of Glory in the theater with my friend, Judy. It was awesome and we had a great time. I watched Sofia Coppola’s first film, Lick the Star on YouTube and it was really good. I really liked it and I finally watched Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story which was really creepy but in a good way. I finished watching all of SATC and it was great. I also listened to some really good music like The Pipettes. I loved Finding Nemo and Little Miss Sunshine. They were both so cute and awesome. I also had the pleasure of seeing a Hilary Duff movie on tv which was even worse than I thought it would be. And I ate a ton of food. March was a good month for consumption.

My all consuming summary of February, 2007 — 2 years ago

This was definitely a good month all around. I turned 16, I am doing awesome in math and I watched and listened to a ton of good stuff. First off, Arrested Development is the most awesome show on earth. I watched an episode or two everyday right after school and I would literally fall off the chair laughing. This show basically made school tolerable. I also watched Undeclared. I loved it. Seth Rogen is my favourite person ever. Now Twin Peaks just scared the shit out of me. Loved the first season and only watched 9 episodes of the second season. I still can’t sleep without having the light on. I watched some really good movies, most of them downloaded and the quality was perfect. I loved The Prestige. That movie was amazing. I loved that Bowie was Tesla. I rewatched The Departed (download). It was just as awesome as the first time. And I don’t think anyone was happier than me when Scorsese FINALLY won the best director award and The Departed took the best picture award. I also watched The Motorcycle Diaries which was okay. But I really liked I Heart Huckabees. It was hilarious. I’m surprised that I liked “pants-dropping Marky-Mark” in two movies. I thought he was just awesome in Huckabees. He was my favourite character. This month I also learned that I should never again pick up a romance novel because I get massive headaches from rolling my eyes so much. I also watched The Science of Sleep which was really great but I don’t think anything can beat Eternal Sunshine though. I have a question about Groundhog’s Day. Why the hell does everyone say it’s such a wonderful movie? I found it really tedious and the fact the Andie McDowel(sp?) was in it… I really hated it. I also listed to some great music like Shout Out Out Out Out who I absolutely love and the best part is that they’re Canadian! And yet I’ve missed seeing them in concert twice. I also finished reading Franny & Zooey which was perfect. I also made the mistake of having Pepsi which is the worst soft drink in the world. I did however become totally addicted to samosas and Tim Horton’s cheese croissants. I also downloaded a ton of movies that I haven’t watched but will finish watching them by March for sure. So this was a really really awesome month (except for the shitty weather) and only two and a half months of school left!

My all consuming summary of January, 2007 — 2 years ago

This month I went through a Bollywood phase that isn’t quite finished with. I really liked the movie Parineeta. It was good and the music was really good too. I finished watching Trigun and now I love it to pieces. I also watched The Departed (on the plane) and it was awesome. I never liked Leonardo DiCaprio. In fact after Titanic, I pretty much hated him but this movie turned me in to a fan of his. And now I must watch every Martin Scorcese film as well. I watched Brick (again) and The Devil Wears Prada with my cousin in Bangladesh. I also finished reading the rest of Imadoki! It was worse than I expected. And Boondocks was really great too.

This month saw my manga phase. I started with Imadoki! v1 then watched Fruits Basket which I didn’t think was all that great. But after watching it I had to read the manga. And I read the whole thing except for the last two chapters cos I can’t find translations of them. Couldn’t finish reading all of Imadoki! because I went on a trip.

Watched Nacho Libre but didn’t like it as much as I thought I would. Hopefully the next White & Black movie’s going to be better. But Enter the Dragon was great as well as my first Bruce Lee movie.

My all consuming summary of November, 2006 — 2 years ago

My anime phase started here. Brick and Rian Johnson led me to Cowboy Bebop which I loved so much that I watched twice: once in English and one in Japanese. And after CB I immediately watched Samurai Champloo which was just as awesome. Shinichiro Watanabe is now one of my favourite animators of all time.

Stranger Than Fiction was really good as well. Watched it in theaters with Judy.

My all consuming summary of October, 2006 — 2 years ago

This was a great month for movies. I watched some really amazing movies. My absolute favourite this month was Brick. Words can’t describe how amazing this movie is. I would love to buy the dvd except for the fact that it costs almost $40… Amelie, Velvet Goldmine and Heathers were just as awesome. Clueless was a rewatch. That movie gets better with every viewing. A month of lots of junk food and downloads as well.
