Powerfully moving film by the same director of Hero and Flying Daggers.
An articulate, pastorially sensitive, and erudite study of the Psalms. Something along the lines of Childs focused on the Psalms.
Great reading so far. Especially good treatment of Quoleth.
Though they are along time friends, Miles and Jack emboidy two different world-views; one a defeatist-nihilist, the other a hedonistic-Epicurean. In the pursuit of their philosophies to thier logical end, they find their ideas wanting and each are forced, in their own way, to affirm the cetnrality of relationship, mutual care, and love as glimer of hope in the world.

Though the Triplets has basically no dialogue, this highly stylistic animation is a moving piece of storytelling.
Fascinating case study into contextualized family systems.
Fantastic introduction to the themes the cluster of terms in the expanding field of Latino/a theologies.
I’m not usually a fan of Ben Stiller’s slapstick comedy, but somehow, perhaps I was in the right mood, this story allowed me to overcome my stodgy rigidity.
