A story about "Julia Fordham" — 2 years ago
Julia has a meloncholy, dreamy tone to her music….she reminds me a little of early Enya, but with more heart wrenching, soul-grabbing lyrics.
I'm currently reading 3 books, listening to 4 albums, watching 0 movies, eating and drinking 0 food items, and consuming 2 other things.

The first time I heard the song “Save Me” by The Tea Party, it was as though the ghost of Jim Morrison was singing to me through the radio waves! This band is truly brilliant…a combination of alternative rock with a bit of Pagan flavor. My favorite tracks on this CD include: Innana, Drawing Down The Moon & Turn The Lamp Down Low. You owe it to yourself to listen to this band…they are spectacular.
In my line of work, I am surrounded by pending death. I work in a nursing home as a social worker and while people often assume it must be so depressing, it actually is a very rewarding and lesson-filled atmosphere. What I have really been learning most recently is how the experience of loss is so much more than when a loved one dies. This book encompasses a spectrum of losses that occur throughout the life span. It helped to point out to me areas of loss in my own life I have not successfully moved beyond yet and how this impacts who I am today. A very enlightening read.
Haunting, sensual, enigmatic, acid-rock with a splash of jazz…its really too bad Portishead hasn’t released an album in over 8 years! My favorite tracks on this CD are “Numb”, “Sour Times” and “It Could Be Sweet”.
