Beautiful cinematography, good story. I felt a little deflated and confused at the end, but upon reflection I think I understand the intention. It definitely has the same sort of feel as Lost in Translation, but less Hollywood gloss on the story – which is I guess a key thing with Jim Jarmusch in charge.
I’ve read some of the other comments here about the movie being boring, and not much happening. It’s certainly not an action movie, but I did not find it a struggle to sit through. I didn’t even think “are we there yet” once throughout it.
Thumbs up from me.
So good! I don’t believe no-one has insisted I listen to Depeche Mode before!
This is such a good series. I so have to get the 2nd season now. Massive recommendation from me.
I just found this entire album weak and soulless. Like they were just playing and singing with nothing behind it. Obviously I’m setting myself up for some flaming here, but this just was not for me.
:-(
Phwar! What a crazy, screwed up book. I did enjoy it however. I really enjoyed the amount of detail Bret Easton Ellis went into – the descriptive language is what really did it for me.
This is one of my all time favourite movies.
I knew of Jacqueline du PrĂ© from her music, I’m a big fan of the cello. I did not however know of the tragic story of her life. I don’t know how much of the movie has been dramatised, but she was a brilliant cellist who was cut down way too early.
I really recommend this movie. I thought it was fantastic.
Pure, mindless, cheese. I expected it to be awful, and it was.
This has to be one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. Fantastic.
