This is the first Susan Howatch novel that I’ve read, and I’m not quite sure whether I like her or not. She does do quite a good job of the moral drama without letting it become sermonistic. I might read more of her.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING
This is difficult to read but I want to finish it (someday) to see what the fuss is all about. As far as I can tell, having read the first 20-30 pages, it’s a very human portrayal of Jesus and his cohort.
