Occasional cheesy puns and excessive ra-ra I am Woman stuff aside, this is a captivating look at the female body and its systems, as well as how they fit into human society and may have fit into human evolution. Definitely recommended.
How are teen movies so simultaneously desperately earnest and very cheesy? And what’s with all the fighting?
It’s certainly nice to look at, but the story is even more meh here than in the book.

‘Read’ this one as an audiobook. Some interesting points for people trying to get started in a career, but some seriously outdated advice, too. Worth reading with a dose of healthy skepticism.
Darkly funny and constantly surprising, this book is a consuming adventure that draws you deeper and deeper into a mysterious world lying just below our own. One of my faves.
What to say about it all? It’s sweet, and yes, quirky, and not all that realistic. But it is very moving and an entirely enjoyable evening out. I can’t understand the people bashing the soundtrack either… we went right home and bought it.
In a whimsical conceit, a man (whose name and profession have made him very fond of letters) who discovers he’s got only days to live takes off on an alphabetical tour of the world, forging new experiences, reliving old ones, and building an incredible bond the wife whose about to lose him.
An impressive message, but a less than compelling viewing experience!
