This is one of my favorite disks! It is hard core and edgy. The beats are sometimes bass heavy and other times rock metal-ish. His rhymes are killer – some storytelling and he often creates his own cadence. One stand out track is “Stand Up.”

I like the Ne-Yo track, but Shakey Dog and Kilo are hot. The storytelling is on point, but so are the beats.

this was a refreshing movie. even though we know the fairytale from beginning to end, this was a snarky and witty approach.

I absolutely love this movie! It always brings a smile to my face. Good stuff.

This book is absolutely a good read. I mostly enjoy the vernacular though at times it is difficult to understand/follow – just slang for a different period in America. Claude McKay uses words that I did even know exist like rakish meaning immoral, yet some terms seemed to have withstood the test of time like ‘broad.’ One colloqualism that I liked was f.o.c. meaning free of charge. Crazy how the dictionay has evolved over the decades…

I thought this movie was okay. It certainly fits into its genre – romantic comedy. Quite predictable and a bit cutesy, but tolerable.

I’ve listened to this disk in pieces, but not in its entirety. A little jazz a little bit hip hop! Love that combo. Also, one of the tracks has a guest appearance by my most favorite hip hop group this year – psyche origami! oh yeah. More to come…

Love this disk. Well produced. I feel like it’s hip hop for adults. Well produced, meaningful rhymes and the delivery is on point. Also, a bit jazzy. Love real musicians on hip hop! Need more of that.
