Brendel has a wicked sense of humour. A delightful and educational read.
Very good, except for the lack of power in the brass at climaxes.
A good read so far.
I’m addicted to the last movement of Symphony No. 88. But Brueggen goes much too slowly for me, even though he does a good job of conveying the humour.
I have yet to warm to Davidson’s style of writing.
This is at the right level for undergrads with a background in real analysis.
Listening to the Dante Sonata in preparation for Thibaudet’s recital in Chicago.
My favourite rendition of Schubert’s Fantasy in F minor.
