Finished Timaeus. More interesting than expected.

Hamilton is excellent mental company.
Somewhat tedious. I never took to Waugh, and Amis has a similar style, so it’s probably a failing on my part.
Amazingly comprehensive. The personalites come to life.
Unenamoured with the first act; couldn’t be bothered to continue. Though I’m told that this is one of the worst versions of HMS Pinafore.
Confirms my opinion that Penrose is simply not very good at explaining scientific concepts to the layman. To attempt to explain the fundamental principles of physics and maths in one book is ambitious enough for anyone, but for Penrose it is clearly impossible.
