Why I recommend "The Trotsky" — 1 year ago
If you like any of the following, you will find this movie hilariously awesome: Trotsky, Soviet history, class warfare, Montreal. Everything about this movie is amazing!

The documentary does a pretty good job of holding the viewer’s attention and explaining fundamental concepts but in a couple of places it resorts to using misleading visualizations. It also fails to prescribe any concrete actions for improving things, beyond saving money, which I already do, and registering to vote, which I’m not eligible to do.
As I read this book, I’m realizing just how fractured and dislocated my sense of cultural identity is. On the one hand, I keep having “aha” moments where I discover the reasons behind all the strange things I heard and saw as a child, while on the other I keep thinking “but I’m not like that at all”.
A random person sitting behind me on a flight let me read her copy for the duration of the flight. I got through the first 3 chapters and they were very good. Not I just need to borrow a copy form the library…
The acidity of this bar left me cringing. I won’t buy any more.
This one is cheap at $4.20 and the complete lack of any bitterness makes it delightfully palatable. Buy it at http://www.worldwidechocolate.com/shop_plantations_100pct_SF.html
I’ve heard that this bar uses saccharine as a sweetener but a company rep assures me they only use fructose.
I enjoyed the movie but my favourite part was the ending, where they give you just enough information to piece together what happened if you think about it really hard for the next several hours.
Although the last few chapters aren’t written as well as the others, they’re also not as important. Overall, however, this book is a must-read for anybody who isn’t already wealthy and would like to ensure lifelong financial security.
I read the 1st 3 chapters while taking the Caltrain home last night and it seems pretty good so far.
