Wildly agnostic, stubborn, with a tendency to speak what&#8217;s on her mind (no matter the cost), Maguire painted a character fighting against the odds in a frustrating world and keeps with L. Frank Baum&#8217;s theme of reflecting a modern world through certain not-so-apparent analogies as politics and religion. I hope the ending doesn&#8217;t escape the praise I have for this book thus far. (Finished: ok, so the ending may have been a bit anticlimactic, but what does one expect after a lifetime of knowing the eventual ending? The rest sufficed for me. Indubitably.
