Oh, Wash. Why must you play a child molester?
I really enjoyed this book. It’s short and sweet and funny. Sarah Ellis is a wonderful writer—I read her books when I was a kid and loved them. I’m happy to see she is still writing (and winning Governor-General’s Awards).
This is the MOST DRAMATIC MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN.
This book is really interesting, and very thoroughly researched. However, it is also making me incredibly depressed. I just finished reading the section on nuclear waste.
I am actually not enjoying this book at all. My little cousin told me he really liked it (that it was, in fact, his Favourite Book) and I should read it. But I’m finding it really boring and random, and also formulaic. There are lots of other children’s stories with adventure, wandering, searching for real families/identity, and funny animals, that are much better than this one. I’m trying to decide if I should even finish it (I’m about half-way through.)
The episode with Burt Reynolds is delightfully non-sensical!
I am reviewing this book for the Canadian Book Review Annual.
I am enjoying this book quite a bit (two-thirds of the way through) but I am disoriented by it a bit as well. In its tone and plot, it could easily have been written 60 years ago. Bizarrely nostalgiac. Who knew we lived in a world where snobby, uptight British women (with CLASS PREJUDICES!) and their skeezy suitors could still be the villains?
This movie is about how outlaws need better retirement planning.
Why does James Franco have to have a superpower that disfigures him? Why can’t he have a superpower that makes him naked all the time?
