A story about "Expat: Women's True Tales of Life Abroad (Adventura Books)" — 4 years ago

I’m enjoying reading about women’s experiences living abroad. What has surprised me about their stories is the majority of the women, try as they might, never really felt a part of the new culture they lived in. They always felt a bit like an outsider.

A story about "Bill Bryson's African Diary" — 4 years ago

I’ve finished this book. Bill Bryson makes me laugh out loud. African Diary is short and easy to read. I recommend it.

A story about "Eye to Eye: Intimate Encounters With the Animal World (Jumbo)" — 4 years ago

some of the best wildlife photos I’ve seen. This is a fun book to thumb through.

A story about "Lost in My Own Backyard: A Walk in Yellowstone National Park (Crown Journeys)" — 4 years ago

If you’re traveling to Yellowstone soon, or if you happen to live nearby, this book might interest you. I pre-ordered this book because I’ve always loved Tim Cahill’s work, but (and I hate to say this) but it’s a tad bit dry so far.

A story about "Strong Women, Soft Hearts" — 4 years ago

The title is a bit hokey, but it’s an excellent book so far!

A story about "The Sex Lives of Cannibals: Adrift in the Equatorial Pacific" — 3 years ago

I was hooked by page 2. This book is hilarious!

A story about "Frommer's Costa Rica 2005 (Frommer's Complete)" — 3 years ago

Out of the three Costa Rica guidebooks I’m reading, this one has been the best. It has more descriptive reviews of hotels. And this is followed closely by the Lonely Planet book, which seems to do a better job of covering the basics of what to bring, what to expect when you’re there…more first-time traveler information.

A story about "Colorado 24/7" — 3 years ago

I sent a few photos in to these guys, hoping to get chosen for the book. I didn’t make the cut. I just had to see what was so great about these other people’s pictures. ;o)
