A story about "American Psycho" — 4 years ago

Whilst finding the book really hard work, with all the intricate descriptions of peoples’ attire, and the corportate mentioning, I understand that it was completely necessary to build up this profile of the character.

A slog, and thoroughly disgusting, but if you can stomach it, worth reading.

A story about "PHP and MySQL for Dynamic Web Sites: Visual QuickPro Guide" — 4 years ago

I found this really useful when learning PHP and MySQL from scratch.

It offers really good ‘reminders’ about a lot of the SQL syntax and keywords.

A story about "The catcher in the rye" — 4 years ago

Although I found Holden a little too negative during the first couple of chapters, I quickly came to love his narrative.

I can see why this is one of those ‘you should have read this’ kinda books.

A story about "Alchemist CD, The" — 4 years ago

A wonderfully written story about following your dreams. I didn’t take me long to read this, but whilst doing so, I was wrapped up in Santiago’s (‘the boy’) world.

It certainly pushed me into acting on my impulses more often and following one’s heart.

I shall be reading more Coelho very soon.

A story about "In Between Dreams" — 4 years ago

After becoming semi-obsessed with Jack’s ‘Brushfire Fairytales’ and ‘On & On’ I was eagerly awaiting the release of ‘In Between Dreams’ and I haven’t been disappointed. I must admit that on my first listen, I wasn’t as hooked as the other two (particularly Brushfire Fairytales), but after a few listens, I’m hooked.

The album features a more ‘laidback’ rendition of Breakdown which I heard a few months ago on the Handsome Boy Modelling School album. (The HBMS version pips it at the post, though, for me.)
