Having just stumbled across this film last week I have to say it is now in my top 10 desert island films. So much has already been written about it so I will just add that the interplay between the characters and some truly funny moments were woven together with an ease that kept the film going through to the end. I wished I had seen this at the Cinema.. I now am going to read the book.

Having wacthed this and then ralised that it is an adaptation of Peter Mayles book “Year in Provence” I would say that it is an ok film not one I would re-watch. Had some funny moments in it but all in all you could tell where it was going and the ending was predictable. There were some nice cinematic scenes in it. One to sit with a glass of red and be generally amused.

Keep it trad.. condensed milk and nutmeg! :)
